Hand-pieced binding is now in place, hand-stitched to the edges. I really enjoy binding quilts. I like covering up all those raw edges that have been fraying at the sides throughout the whole process of piecing. I like raw edges, and I like fraying edges, but binding just seems to really finish a quilt and make it complete. It feels like tucking something up safe in a little bed.
It’s difficult to take a good photo of the whole cloth as I don’t have anywhere big enough to hang it, and then I can’t get far enough away to get all of it into the picture frame. This is a mosaic of all the squares as they appear on the cloth:
