Thin red line

It’s been a difficult day, since we had to say goodbye to one of our sweet little pets this morning. I spent the afternoon with ‘Sunset’.

Just a little quilting here and there, and a little very simple embroidery.

The borders are pale jade green/aqua silk, and I’ve couched a thin red yarn (hand dyed) along the inner edge of the border.

Because sometimes peace is just a fine line.

So sorry to hear of your friend’s passing. I once had a wonderful sympathy card for animals…but it applies to anyone. “Not gone…..just gone ahead.”
    Love your blog

Thanks, Karen. That’s a nice line. I believe that the atoms that made up Vincent will become something else, as part of Nature’s recycling, so somewhere he will live on.

    So very sorry…big hugs.

That red line, like a heartbeat. Sewing…it’s the best medicine for any overwhelming
    emotion.

  8. Rachel says:

    My sympathies.

Still, simplicity and a little handwork are both very soothing.

  9. Karen Turner says:

Thank you all for the kind words.

It’s looking beautiful, Karen, both this post and the one before. I hope you’re feeling a little better after Vincent’s loss. I lost one cat last year and his sister four years ago and sometimes still fill up when I think of them. Hugs. x
