a short story

A couple of bargain frames from the charity shop this week:

I removed the bright red plastic gerberas before photographing them. Why on earth would anyone want a pair of unnaturally red gerberas in boxes on their wall?

I’m composing a little story for one of them. Every good story needs a beginning:

a middle:

and an end:

Frames still a work in progress.

Great stuff! Are those all candles then, for the woman to see by, when the firelight dies down ? lol
I’m all for story telling! Nice bargain frames too, but yes – gerberas………..lovely fresh, but not quite the same when ‘preten’ and overly bright!

Hadn’t thought of candles, but now you mention it… I was thinking more along the lines of ancient stick calendar counting the 9 months it takes to go from maiden to mother. But candles are good too!

Quite nice — this will look quite lovely mounted in your new frame.

  4. I love the composition and the addition of the text.

I love the subtle layers you are working with at the moment and please tell….how do I add a facebook like box?

  7. It’s good to be able to conceive of frame and contents as a single whole. So often really lovely pieces can be ruined by unsympathetic framing!
